Report: Number of stuck oil tankers near Turkey falls
MOSCOW, Dec 12 (PRIME) -- The number of tankers with oil stuck near Turkey's shores decreased to 19 as of December 11 from 27 on December 10, Bloomberg reported on Sunday.
An industry source told the newswire that the authorities started to allow to pass the tankers that were earlier blocked.
The Financial Times reported earlier, citing data of oil traders and tracking services that a tanker jam formed near the coasts of Turkey after a price restriction was imposed on Russian oil, and Turkey introduced an additional requirement of a Protection and Indemnity Insurance letter upon entrance of ships with crude to its straits.
